Hemp build day forming for April 12 — we have the land and the materials. Still looking for a hemp construction expert and about 6 volunteers for the weekend. Lodging covered for anyone traveling. Anyone in the Southwest want in?

JW

Just finished our earthen floor with linseed oil — zero VOCs, beautiful amber tone, way more durable than I expected. Third time using this method and it keeps getting better. Happy to write up the full process if people want it.

DM

Winter food storage project complete. 340 families got dry goods and preserved produce for the season. 22 people showed up across three Saturdays and made this real. Archiving this one and starting to plan spring. Thank you, everyone.

CR

Concrete mixer + trailer available through April. Happy to haul materials within 200 miles of Santa Fe — just cover fuel. If you've got a project forming in the Southwest, reach out soon, already two people asking.

A home for anyone curious about building something better.

People drawn to natural building, renewable energy, food sovereignty, and mutual aid — they're everywhere. So are the curious ones, the students, the people who know something is here but haven't found their footing yet. All of them scattered across platforms that weren't built for any of it.

Earthback is the place where this work lives. Your feed shows what your circles are doing. Your profile reflects what you've contributed, what you're learning, and the connections you've made along the way.

"When the pieces connect, the work gets done."
Your feed is shaped by your circles — the people and topics you chose
Conversations grounded in shared projects and hands-on work
Reputation built from what you contribute, teach, and complete
Every post connects to a circle, a project, or a shared resource
Circles with active projects, shared tools, and living archives
Community-governed, transparent, and built to serve the people using it

Show up. Connect. Build when you're ready.

You don't have to have a project to belong here. Some people come to share what they know. Some come to find collaborators. Some are just curious and looking for their people. All of that is welcome.

1

Find Your Circles

Join the communities that match your work — Natural Building, Solar & Off-Grid, Permaculture, Mutual Aid. Your feed shows what your circles are actually doing.

2

Share What You Know

Post a technique, list a resource, ask a question, celebrate something you finished. Every contribution builds the reputation that follows you.

3

Start a Project

When "we should do this" turns real — set a goal, invite the people who have the missing pieces, make commitments visible. The tools are built in.

4

Archive & Keep Going

When a project wraps, close it cleanly. The record stays, the contributions are acknowledged, and you carry your history into the next thing.
